For over 20 years the X-IUM name has stood for excellence at Rossignol, this ski, the first in a range of 3 performance models, offers access to Rossignol’s performance standards to the widest number.
What are the characteristics of the Rossignol X-IUM Skating – IFP Nordic ski?
First born in the X-IUM range, this ski has evolved, receiving step by step the most advanced technologies from racing. The X-IUM epitomises the first step toward more performance-oriented skis from Rossignol, and should be recognised for its stability and dynamism. It has made the French brand’s reputation thanks to its strong temperament and a lightweight and well-designed structure. Nomex core, carbon plate, its internal structure is very close to what can be found on the WCS and Premium skis. The true difference lies in the external construction, notably with a full top cover which is directly placed on the edges. Stiffness is tuned on the camber and longitudinally, contrary to the models above which receive ABS sidewalls. This makes it a simpler ski but insanely lively under foot. Of course, it features the double guiding grooves, which no longer need to prove their worth in terms of stability and handling. Regarding glide, the K7000 2.0 base paired to a versatile cold structure is perfect for the most common conditions in our mountains. The IFP mounting plates work with Turnamic bindings, compatible with Turnamic, NNN and Prolink boot standards.
Who is the Rossignol X-IUM Skating – IFP Nordic ski for?
A great ski if you plan to ski on a regular basis and progress in skating. Its dynamic behaviour will give you a taste of the sensations you can experience when using dynamic skis which ask nothing but to accelerate at the end of a push. And the cherry on top is that the X-IUM remains accessible! If you are looking for a skating ski and like dynamism under your feet, there is no doubt it is a model to consider.
